  • So Mad!

    I had a burger at work tonight (without he bun of course) and it came with a thousand island style dressing on the side...so I dipped the burger in it because for some reason I thought it was low in carbs. Well a few hours later I looked at the facts from my thousand island bottle at home and realized it has 6 carbs and sugar in it!! I'm soo mad that this happend because I was SOOOOO good all day!! Will you guys look at my menu and see if you think the six carb dressing totally killed all my carefull eating today?? TIA.

    breakfast:
    3 eggs scrambled with butter and cheese with ground sausage ( no carbs or sugar in the sausage.

    Lunch:
    four hot wings and bleu cheese dressing ( i think 3 carbs all together)

    Snack:
    One celery stick with cream cheese

    Dinner:
    Small salad with one slice of tomato and one slice of cucumber, oil and vinegar dressing.
    Double hamburger with one slice cheese, some shredded lettuce, and the horribe carb full thousand island dressing

    Late night meal:
    8 oz of shrimp boiled and dipped in butter.

    Goal weight:150 lb

    Drink some extra water, chalk it up to experience and dont eat anything with out checking on it first. You will be fine. Dont let it discourage you

      I agree! Just keep on checking first before you bite to see if there are any hidden carbs. You'll do great.

        I agree, more water and keep going. One thing about this WOE, is that none of us are perfect when we first start. It is a learning experience ~ As we keep going, we learn more and more about the foods we eat, the way our bodies react to different foods and what to look out for in foods we didn't prepare ourselves. You did good with your other meals and you won't make the same mistake again.

          No biggie! Drink some water, take a walk and jump back on board!

            it'll be alright...we all at some point in time eat something unknowingly that has carbs...jump back on the wagon!

            try www.fitday.com it is a great day to log all your food to see exactly the portions in which you are eating!
            So....I fell off the band wagon...BUT I'M BACK!!! More Ready than ever!

              Becky..don't let it discouraged you.. You didn't ruin a day..this is a lifetime thing... You will be surprised when you really check things how sugar is added in everything..so its best to stay pure in your foods
