  • Can you please help me analyze a food?

Today I was out (unprepared) in the morning and stopped into Starbucks. I decided on the Egg/Cheese/Sausage Muffin - but only ate the egg/cheese/sausage part...no muffin.

I'm trying to enter it into Fitday, but can only seem to find the nutrition info of the whole sandwich from the Starbucks site.

Any advice on what numbers to enter?

The whole sandwich looks like this:

    Calories: 470
    Fat: 25g
    Carbs: 37g
    Fiber: 1g
    Protein: 22g

    Thanks!

Well, provided that their 'egg' is real fried eggs, then I'd search for "egg fried" in fitday and 'pork sausage' and 'american cheese'

Thanks. I was just wondering if you guys knew of anything hiding in there that may have carbs other than the muffin.

Maybe I'll give them a call...

Its possible depending on what they put in their eggs. IHOP puts pancake batter in their eggs, I've heard. If it's just eggs and maybe milk, you should be okay.

If you cant find the info on their website I would suggest phoning or emailing them to make sure they use real cheese not 'cheese food' which may have additives and therefore be more carby than plain block cheese.
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
