  • Day 1 of Induction

    Hey guys

Today I started Atkins again. I had tried it about a year ago and then a few years before that. A few reasons for starting is I'm a bit of a carb addict and also have trouble having anything in moderation. Also at work, 5 of us made a bet a few weeks ago that we had to lose 20 pounds by the last day of school (june 15th). If we didn't lose it we had to throw $100 into a pot for the people who lost the weight to split. This was a big motivator in the beginning, but then I lost focus until I saw my weight creap back up. I decided I had to start back on Atkins now. Hoping to go all the way this time! In the past I have found the diet quite easy as long as I can keep my will power up and strong. Day 1-mission accomplished. I had 2 barriers to overcome today and I did it I even got up and walked this morning!!

    Re: Day 1 of Induction

    Hello Heidi
    Welcome to our ADBB family

Congratulations on being motivated to seriously try to lose weight again. competition is often a good way to sharpen the mind and get us going.

You didnt say how much weight to have to 'spare' so it would be impossible to say whether a 20 pounds loss by 15 June for you would be feasible but if you continue the way you have started I am sure you will be a loser (even if not the biggest loser).

Well done with the exercise too - Keep up the good work
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!

Check out our Low Carb Recipes website and add to it!!

Guess I should put my stat's in my signature...I am about 286 lbs. right now so I could definitly spare 20 lbs.
