Re: I said no to cake...

Good for you! I had to do the same thing this week. While I was out on my lunch break, a co-worker decided to drop a piece cake off on my desk. Trust me it looked yummy, but... I took and put it on another co-worker's desk that loves to eat sweets. She was happy and the birthday girl never knew that I didn't eat the cake.

Also, I am starting to like foods that I didn't used to - vegetables, especially. Who'd a-thunk?

Also, the reason you cite for losing weight are good, too - for your health and for yourself. Those are the best reasons!

It is a huge step, thank you!

the only thing so far that has tempted me...is cereal.

      Honeycomb cereal.
my daughter ate it this morning...and she left the ice cold sweet milk...and I was so tempted.
HOWEVER, I didnt do it. I dumped it down the sink and drank a glass of water instead.

We went to a drive in restaurant...here in San Antonio.

It's cool, it's called the MALT HOUSE.

Anyhow..we got burgers and fries and black cows.

      I had a diet coke..and a burger with cheese...no bun.

woohoo...and I didnt even TOUCH the fries!

See and the people I work with...they eat lots of sweets. There is always a birthday or some sort of celebration going on.

I just smiled and said, "No, thank you." and turned and went on my way. It was a bit comical, she had this confused look on her face when I turned her down. I know... I must be crazy to not want cake... RIGHT! hehe... Congrats again!

it's funny how people look at you when you tell them you are doing Atkins. They automatically assume OH MY GOSH all you eat is bacon and cheese and your arteries are clogging as we speak!

            DUH.

I think I am eating more vegetables NOW on induction than I ate before.

I miss tomatoes...I would LOVE a sliced tomato with salt...
