  • Adding Fat

    Hello all! Day 2 here!

I was looking for some easy suggestions to raise my fat % during induction. Today I'm off to a better start according to fitday but yesterday my percentages were a bit off with fat only coming in at around 52%.

Besides eating more cheese, is there any easy way to get my percentages closer to the 65 30 5 if I'm low on fat?

How about some a cream sauce or creamy gravy for your meats and poultry?

That could be tasty! I'll go check the recipe forum for some ideas.

        Olive oil is good.
You can add it to salad or veggies

Ren, I just re-read your post, and missed you were on induction. I actually wouldn't worry about the ratios for now. Follow induction to the letter, forget all your low-fat brainwashing, and eat your meats untrimmed, your eggs fried in butter, butter on your vegies, tuna in oil with mayo, etc., and you should have no problems at all.

Mayonnaise based sauces: mayo mixed with Dijon mustard, mayo mixed with Tabasco sauce, mayo mixed with chopped herbs, mayo mixed with lemon juice or vinegar.

Olive oil: toss that onto your vegetables. Flavored olive oils or oils are available in many supermarkets so you can use that to spice up a piece of meat or veggies.

Typically it takes about 1/2 to 1 tablespoon of added fat to make your meal 60-65% fat.
