    I know I am using this site to death but I find being able to talk to others in the same situation such an enormous help, it was the way I gave up smoking, joined a forum. Just knowing I am not going through this alone makes a huge difference. End of speech...

    what I actually came here to say today was that I think Atkins has done something amazing for me, I haven't seen any mention of this in the book nor here but it's currently my TOM and I didn't even feel it coming. To explain, I have suffered severe PMT my whole life I don't need to write the date of my TOM on a calendar to know it's coming I get the symptoms a few days before, chocolate cravings, mood swings, headaches, blisters on my gums etc this week= nothing.

    Is this a familiar (pleasant) side effect?

    edit: I mean I am having none of my usual horrible pmt symptoms, could this be due to my current eating plan?

    Yep.. I can always tell when mine is coming.. I get really dizzy and just sick feeling too... When I complain my daughter reminds me that I only have about 10 years left and she has like 40

      Are you still getting this while on the Atkins?

      What I was trying to say probably not very clearly knowing me, is that I haven't had any of my usual horrible symptoms this month

      BTW Your daughter has a good point, lol

        Oh your lucky.. I only am this way Pre-Tom..and then it clears up but when I start to feel that I go and look at the calendar...lol

          Well yes, lucky this time around, I usually have an awful time pre-tom like yourself, I shan't count my blessings too quickly though in case next month I am back to normal, I just thought maybe it was my change of diet that had helped. I usually go look at the calendar when I feel I want to punch someone
