Well today is my fourth day and I am so glad I started. But I have a question. I am a big guy but a I am athletic, I play basketball on wednesdays and thursdays to keep in shape. Last night at basketball I felt kinda sluggish I dont know why. Is it my body still getting used to the diet? I hope that is it. I know I am eating right and drinking plenty of water.

Re: Day 4 and a question
From personal experience and seeing results of "sluggishness" on the board from other folks...going through the Induction Flu is common. Make sure your getting your vitamins, water, and eating. It's common for these feelings as your body "detoxifies" the carbs in your body.
I know that before I work out I can eat some cheese and a piece of meat and be able to make it through the 45 minutes. Maybe that would work for you if you're feeling "sluggish" most times afterwards, or even before.
Great job playing basketball as your exercise!

Re: Day 4 and a question
Yeah, that's the detox from the sugar. Give it a couple days and you should get a surge of energy when your body fully switches from burning glucose to using ketones for energy.
I run 5-7 miles and there are Marathon runners on this board who eat low carb. I've also added some pretty impressive lean body mass while on this WOE. I'm very proud of my biceps, pectorals, deltoids and quadricep muscles

Re: Day 4 and a question
It'll definately get better. Before long you'll be full of energy you didn't even know you had! That feeling is common in the first week, but will soon pass! Keep it up!
