Well, I turned 21 at the end of March and have gained 15 pounds since then(I wonder why??!) lol Obviously, I have now given up alcohol. Well, it just seems like losing the first 15 pounds is pointless becasue I will just end up where I started at!! And I know it's going to take me forever to lose those 15, and after that, my weightloss is just going to keep slowing down. So far I am enjoying Atkins, but I am not a patient woman! I'm not expecting to lose it all overnight, but I have a habit of dropping things when I don't see results right away or when I get bored. I know if I don't stick to something, I'll never get anywhere...right??!! Someone just gove me a peptalk or something

JUST DO IT! sounds flippant but there it is. i am the world's LEAST patient person so i understand that. as i see it you have 2 choices, develop patience, work the plan, enjoy the benefits that come along with it and see results (it DOES take time but it WILL happen)....or you can not do anything and carry the weight you really want to get rid of. you are the only person who can do this for yourself. it does take committment, determination and hard work but the results are so worth it. get it in your head that it is a lifestyle....not a diet and you will do just fine. now....whatcha gonna do...JUST DO IT!

p.s.....why don't you think about joining in on one of the challenges that are llsted here? that would be a fun way to help you break the boredom. also, look at all the sites here that have some really yummy recipes even for induction. find an exercise buddy and have a friendly competition. try some new exercise activities and mix'em up. all those things will keep you moving in the right direction with a little challenge and no boredom. you are young and i am sure full of energy...use it to your advantage and have fun with this!

LOL I may be young, but I'm in college, I work, and I have a 2 year old daughter, so I don't have as much energy as one might think You're right though...I need to stick with it, no matter how long it takes, because even if I only lose 1 pound a week, it'll only take me a year to make my goal! I'm just gonna suck it up and do the best I can!!

I really need to know if i can lose, also. I'm on Day 12 of induction and am in a serious stall; only 2-3 lbs in the 12 days previous. So you can do it I'll bet you've lost more than I so keep it up as I will do!
