What ranch dressing in the supermarket is Atkin friendly?

There's a ranch dressing out there by the SOUTH BEACH DIET. It only has 1 gram of carb per serving. They used to have a ranch dressing that didnt have any carbs, called Carbwell, but I can't find it anywhere!

I'm not particular to any one brand, I just pick one with no more than two and preferably one carb per serving. Plus, I'm very dilligent about measuring out my serving so that I'm not inadvertantly taking in too many carbs with my salad.

I know you were asking about Ranch dressing, but just in case you want a variety, Giant Eagle has their own brand of Caesar dressing that has 0 carbs, and 0 sugars. Just thought you'd like to know.

im confused about salad dressings. so are we basically allowed to eat MOST store-bought salad dressings, as long as they only have 1-2 carbs? what else do i need to look at?

Ms. Drea,

You have to look at the carbohydrate content, as well as the sugar content. I usually go for a Caesar dressing, since most of the time, it is 0 carb, 0 sugars. I hope this helps.

okay so as low of a carb count as possible, that i understand. but 1-2 is acceptable? and how much sugar is acceptable?

Yes, as low a carb count as possible...however, you don't want any sugars....if they have any sugar in them at all, it should not be more than 1g. For me, the caesar is best since it has neither. You should try it.

I found a Marie's Premium Blue Cheese which has no added sugar and 0 carbs. Has anyone used that?

Marie's blue cheese is great, Marie's also has a 1 carb ranch which I also like. I also use Ken's Steakhouse Creamy Caeser dressing which has 0 carbs. Ken's has sugar listed low in the ingredients though which reminds me to remind you that, at least in America, if the carb count is under .5 they are allowed to put 0 carbs on the nutritional panel, so when counting carbs be sure to include that.
