I just wanted to make sure that this was okay. I went today for the first time since starting induction. I got a Latte w/heavy whipping cream and 3 splenda's. Do you think that's okay?? I hope so.

    Re: Starbucks

Strictly speaking you should avoid caffeine.

But other then that it's hard to say, any idea how much heavy cream they used in place of the normal milk?

I have no idea but probably won't do it again, at least for a long while.

        Re: Starbucks

LOL, I work at Starbucks. If you told them H. whip, then they use only that and expresso--no milk (that is why they charge extra for it!) I agree about avoiding caff, but I have many low carb customers and that is exactly what they order!

              Re: Starbucks

I always brought a little bit of my own heavy whipping cream with me. Then I ordered an iced americano (Iced espresso shots) and added my own. You can also have them add it and tell them when to stop. Also-be careful how many splenda you put in it and make sure you count those. I would only put two in my venti.

                  Re: Starbucks

You guys gave me great ideas with what is almost not taboo at Starbuck's. Where I work, that is our second home...I work with a lady that goes there about 3 or 4 times a day. Hehehe, I'm not joking, and she doesn't even drink caffeine!

It is very difficult for me to not have coffee, I have 4 kids, I'm in school full time and I work 60+ hours a week. Coffee is my lifesaver. I'm still doing induction, and I haven't given up the coffee. *I'm bad, huh?*
I'm curious if what Faith asked about is really hurting?
Faith, did you feel different after drinking the coffee? I'm wondering if coffee really does stall, I know DANDR states to give up caffeine, but that is one thing that I will crash without.

I'm with meena-beena Faith, did you have any cravings?
