  • Addicted to fat?

Hi all. This is day 4 of induction for me, and all is going well apart from the headaches. I had the misfortune of catching the flu on my first day, as it is winter in Australia, so I am battling that at the same time!

I can't believe how much better I feel in this short amount of time. I think the most notable difference is that I don't feel bloated and I can go so much longer without being hungry. 4 o'clock in the afternoon always made me crazy with hunger, and that is when I would do the most damage to my healthy eating. But not now.

Just wondered though, is anyone else in this phase really thirsty? I'm drinking way over the recommended amount of water for the day and still want more.
Also, is it really bad to want to eat fatty bits of meat? I can't seem to get enough.

    Cheers!

It looks as if you are off to a good start

Many of us found that once we started to drink our minimum plain water our body demands more, so drink if you are thirsty. The only caveat I would add would be not to drink too much at one time but space it out through the day.

When we read of people suffering with 'water intoxication' they have usually been college kids who drank a gallon of water in a short time for a dare which is a really stupid thing to do!
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!

Yes, yes, yes! As soon as I started drinking loads of water, my body wanted more and more. My mouth would get dry and I would start craving water. So drink it up! It's good for you! I think I typically drink well over a gallon a day.

Also, don't be scared of fatty meat...it's one of the best things for us. The fatty foods will satisfy your appetite and usually curb cravings for sweets. Remember this isn't low fat, it's low carb... Good luck!!
