  • A few Questions

I everyone and thank you for the welcome and support. I have a few questions I need help with. I seem to always be hungry since I started this WOE. How big of a roll does the calories and percentages play in weight lose? I am trying to keep my calories down to 1200, but I seem to stay 100 or more higher. My percentages are alittle off (fat 59% carbs 6% Protein 35%), but I am under 20 net carbs a day. Should I be concerned about the calories and percentages? I feel good and have energy down so I am worried cutting down on food will cause me to feel tired again.

Also, I am having a problem with constipation. I read around and I want to try the flax seed product that several people have suggested on various threads. However, I live in a very small town (less than a hundred population). So I will be driving to the nearest city (35 miles) for supplies. I was hoping you could give me a few store names and what department in the store. I looked last time and has unable to find it.

Thank you all for your help and support.

    Re: A few Questions

You shouldn't count calories . Only carbs. Second flax seed capsules you can buy anywhere they sell vitamins. Don't know where you are located but drugstores and groceries stores here in n.y. have them. I am back on for the second time and there was a lot i forgot but pretty sure you dont count calories just carbs and you need to eat more if you are in induction because the good thing about this wpe is you aren't supposed tp be hungry! Best wishes on your journey!

What also works for me is to drink 1 big glas of warm water (not hot), first thing in the morning. That basically stimulates the stomach and the colon and after 5 - 15 minutes you can go to the toilet. Hope it works for you too.

Another suggested addition to add fibre is psyllium husks, which are available in most health food shops (at least in UK) I used them before I discovered cooking with linseed (flax) and added them to mayo to mix with chopped celery to ward off constipation.
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!

Hi! I think maybe your fat percentages aren't high enough. Maybe take 5% of your protein away and add that percentage to your fat. It really helps me.

Sorry I can't help you with the constipation question..........I'm trying some things myself. I'll tell you if they work. I didn't have any problems until today but this is my 8th day so I expected it to happen soon. I'm taking psyllium husk capsules and trying to increase the water. We shall see.

Thank you all for the support and suggestions. I was able to get a fiber powder at the local store and it has helped. I am surpised at how easy this WOE is going. I seem to have more energy and I have finally got to the part where I am not always hungry. It is amazing to me that I have gave up caffine and suger and now have way more energy.
