  • I am really struggling today

    Hi all, maybe you could give me some coping mechanisms before I submit to the carbs.
    I've done well so far, seeing as I live with someone who has pizza every lunch without fail and others have ice lollies, etc. I haven't had any cravings but suddenly I feel like fish and chips, hot dogs, burgers, pizza. I know that if I eat anything especially pizza, I would be full after one slice and will feel waful afterwards, so its not worth it, but I can't help the way I feel.
    I have started losing weight although it is slow going.
    Any tips?
    • Start Weight = 72.6 kg / 160 lbs
    • Goal Weight = 50 kg / 110 lbs
    • Current Weight = 58 kg / 128 lbs
    • mini goal = 54 kg / 119 lbs

    Here ya go...

    Brown some ground beef and or sausage. Put that in the bottom of a pie tin after you drain it very well.

    Then find a no-sugar added tomato sauce. Add a little to the top of the meat crust.

    Then add your veggies (legal ones like mushrooms, onion, pepper). Then add pepperoni or whatever.

    Then measure some cheese (mozzarella). Add that and cook until it is brown and gooey.

    Pizza that is legal!

      Keep your eye on the prize. Imagine yourself at goal, and how healthy and happy you will be!

      Those cravings can be tough, and you're doing the right thing--you're venting and trying to find coping strategies! When I have cravings, I like to do something to get my mind off them, like going for a walk, watching TV, going to the gym. I also drink a glass of water. If I figure out I'm hungry, I'll eat something high-fat. A great choice is pepperoni with melted cheese. YUM!

      Yes, you're right--if you give in to that craving, you are going to feel HORRIBLE afterwards. And is 5 minutes of pleasure worth 2 days of pain, discomfort, and guilt? NOPE! Stay on plan, you can do it!

        Anytime you get a craving first drink a glass of water wait 15 minutes and if that doesn't calm the craving have something fatty like a chunk of cheese or maybe a boiled egg. Sometimes you have to JUST DO IT. Sucky as it may be, it's whats best for you and your body. Keep in mind why you are on this WOE. Remind yourself often. Look at old fat pictures.

            Hi all. When I got up yesterday morning my cravings were gone. But I will definitely try that "pizza".

            I was very close to quitting, but I'm still holding on. I managed to get come flaxmeal yesterday and maybe I'll try something new.
