  • Weightlifting and Induction

Hi, I am returning to the Atkins diet, having been on it a couple of times during
the last few years. Each time I have done the Induction I have lost weight, even though I haven't given up caffine. ( Btw, I have always failed at this diet when I go from Induction to OWL, I can stay on Induction for a few months, but when I add carbs, my diet collapses in a week or two.)

This time I am in a perfect Induction ( including no caffiene) and have lost little or no weight in three weeks. The only difference this time, besides caffeine is that I started lifting heavy weight again.

Has anyone had experience with this?

Are you looking at the scale or inches? I would guess if you are weightlifting then you could be building muscle which weighs more than fat so the scales wouldnt be a good sign of your progress.

Having spent the night reading through the Boards, I may have to rethink how perfect my induction has been, I'm going to read the book again and start a new induction.
