hello, i think the counter for the most part is accurate, but if there is something that doesn't seem to add up, you can always customize the item and change totals to match what the nutritional label for that food says.
I find fitday usually fairly reliable, but occasionally it is "kinder" than the Atkins carb list. My thinking is: "If in doubt, go with the higher number... better safe than sorry".

If you have the nutrition label from the packet then use that in preference to what fitday or another 'general' carb counter says, as the manufacturer is more likely to have the correct info for that particular product.
As moniegail said, you can make it a custom food in fitday quite easily.

I only use fitday to find the carb count in vegetables and fruits, everything else I eat I use the labels and insert what the label says into fitday. Works well!
