  • Stalled?

Well Friday is my 14th day of induction after correcting everything (started june 21st). I was planning to stay on extended with my husband. However, it seems that I am just yoyoing back and for. One day I am at 182 the next 183 and some days 184. I think its mostly water weight. I have corrected my menus - thanks for the advice - and I have increased my excerise and water. I measured this morning and I have lost around 3 inches so that gives me hope. But I have read on the forums that moving on to owl sometimes helps as well. what do you girls and guys think? Should I stay or Should I go?

    Re: Stalled?

A stall or weight loss plateau is defined in the book as 4 consecutive weeks without loss of pounds or inches.

It's normal to not lose weight every day. So don't get worried if you are up a pound one day and down a pound the next.

As for staying or going, you need to look at the charts in Chapter 12 of the book. From them you will be able to determine your degree of metabolic resistance to weight loss. Depending on what that is, you will be able to plan the rest of your Atkins.

First off, 'should I stay or should I go' the eternal question posed to us by the clash. Haha I'm a musician, can't help it.

You 'GOoooooooooooooooooo!' OWL is awesome. More choices added back in, and it's fun.

Secondly, I agree with Megs, remember a stall is not just a couple days, it's several weeks without losing.

Move onto OWL though, it is fantastic. You'll be glad you did.

I guess stall wasnt the right term to use. Just curious about when to move up really. I want to stay in iduction with hubby so we can help each other at the same rate. Thanks for the chapters, I will reread tonight. I am a librarian so I have a few books a week to read and I have over the years learned to speed read through a book to get the gist of it. Bad habit btw. So I will have to take a few more looks I am sure.

Scooter - I am glad someone noticed the song title. It is one of my favorite songs and after 14 years me and the hubby call it our song. lol

It's human nature to want something and want it yesterday but keep in mind that you didn't gain it all in a few weeks and you won't lose it that fast, either. Easier said than done, I know. Trust me, I know.
