My first bit of advice would be to plan in advance what you intend to eat each day or the night before so you are not suddenly having to make a choice of what to eat/order.

Secondly if you do decide to eat something not 'legal' for induction (or whatever Atkins phase you are on) make sure the very next bite is somehting on-plan. No 'well I've blown it so might as well eat the rest of the box of cookies'!! Just get back to your 'legal' choice of foods straight away.

Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!

Check out our Low Carb Recipes website and add to it!!

i agree, my first time i started was this past sunday made it all the way to 3:00pm tuesday, didn't have anything prepared and i got really anxious and blew it. i started fresh wednesday with a different mentality, i read the book and i've prepared stuff in advance. also try looking through the recipes on this site, i found some great ones that are going to help me.

Re: Anyone 5'1 And Want To Lost 40lbs

          Hi PL,

I'm 5'2" I started on New Year's Day at 140, I'm now down to 112. Atkins is the best thing that's ever happened to me, weight-wise.
My advice, don't put a time limit on it, don't tell yourself you need to lose "this much weight in this much time". Just let it happen at your body's own pace, and it will happen.
Don't get frusterated with the stalls and plateaus. I would lose nothing for three weeks, then dump three pounds. They add up.
          Stats:
          Age: 41
          Sex: F
          Height: 5'2"
          Highest weight ever: 170+
          Goal: 114
