      Re: Mustard?

Yes, mustard is allowed. It's a seed that has been processed down and has no carb value.

Sorry no body answered. Sometimes post get lost in the 10000000s of them

Oh, and do you have the book? it's a must read. It'll give you more info on the condiments that are awesome to use.

            Re: Mustard?

If the label that you're reading says "0 carbs" and ingredients says: Mustard...I'd say you're safe. Read the label to determine what's in it. If there is starch, flour bases of any kind (whole graine or whatnot), corn syrup, sugar, or anything of that nature, don't eat it.

Is this one that you have at home to read the label? If not, sorry, I'm not able to help on that one. Maybe friends from your home area will be able to help you out on that one tomorrow when they wake up...isn't it late there?

You're welcome! I like mustard myself.....especially when I roll up turkey & roast beef with cheese for lunch, or as "dip" for steak, chicken, and even veggies when I'm completely bored with other things.

Sounds like you've got a great pallet of foods there. Best wishes.

as long as no sugars or starches are ingredients it is fine. I find the mustards like 'sweet and spicy' or honey mustard etc you have to be careful obviously..but regular, whole grain and dijon are fine.

I found this at the Mustard Museum site:

Pommery Moutarde De Meaux Grained Mustard (17.5 Oz)
This is the great grainy French mustard that goes back more than 300 years. Perfectly balanced with a rich nutty flavor. It comes in a large (17.5 oz) stone crock, the way it was made centuries ago. Its elegance derives from its natural simplicity: water, mustard seed, vinegar, mustard bran, and spices. Nothing artificial. It is a favorite of chefs around the world. A GORGEOUS MUSTARD!

Ingredients: Mustard Seed, Vinegar, Salt, Mustard Bran, Spices.

This is the grained version, not the smooth version you asked about, so I don't know if it's the same recipe with whole seeds added.

                              Wonderful research, thank you.

I must have made an error in my link.

The version I have in my kitchen is definitely the whole grain.

If I can allow myself a little boasting, it is one of the best mustards you can buy.

Do you think the whole grain version is Induction safe?
