    String Beans?????

    Hi there guys!
Wondering if anyone knows why string beans aren't on the induction list.
I looked at a pack in the freezer and saw that a one cup serving has 5 carbs, 2 grams of fiber making 3 net carbs per serving. And 30 calories! Can't beat that.
    Anyone know what gives?

String beans ARE on the induction list. They are one of the "other" veggies, and you may have one cup per day of these vegetables.

Are string beans the same as green beans? Sounds stupid but is there a difference?

            Re: String Beans?????

One way to check whether a veg you think might be suitable is OK for induction is to do a google 'images' search for the names of veggies that are listed to see if they look the same as the one you are thinking of.

This way I confirmed to myself that aubergine = eggplant, courgette = zucchini and vegetable marrow = summer squash!
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!
