my favorite is small swiss cheese cubes and a few pepperoni slices with a big glass of water. really kills my appetite quickly in a big way and gives me a lovely "i'm full" feeling.

I thought you weren't supposed to have peanut butter during induction? I'm confused now.
I agree with six-footer. Pepperoni and cheese normally kills my appetite.

          Re: Snack Suggestions PLEASE!

Yogurt and peanutbutter are NOT allowed during Induction. I think CDRAKE got the forums confused and thought this was the OWL forum.

Hard boiled eggs, leftovers from last night's dinner, veggie sticks with dip, cheese, are all good snack type foods.

With your schedule, eating breakfast at 3AM isn't outrageous but remember that you cannot go more than 6 waking hours without eating something. So maybe at 9AM you can have a small snack, like a boiled egg or veggie sticks with dip. Then see if that 'snack' will tide you over until noon. If it does, then you can have a regular lunch at noon or slightly after.

Sliced turkey rolled in lettuce leaves. I don't "pre-roll" these as it takes more time when I am in that I have to eat something mode. This way it takes me more time to get them out and prepare. But this is something you can roll up and put in baggies for on-the-go.

Crustless quiches are quick and easy to prepare and can be eaten hot or cold. I use up my cooked veg and meat leftovers for mine.

I usually make two at a time so I have a 'spare' in the fridge to slice and use for on-the-go-snacks!
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?

crustless quiche ~~ what a grand idea! How do you keep the egg mixture from sticking to the piepan (I use corningware)? Is Pam spray sufficient? I envision bacon, spinach, and onion with heavy cream and beaten eggs, some swiss cheese, a little salt and pepper ... anything else? Or you could make them in a square cake pan and cut them in squares like little brownies. mmm ...

                  Re: Snack Suggestions PLEASE!

I make my little quiches in a rubber pan and spray it well. For the most part, it's better to spray the pan generously if you don't have a rubber pan. I actually use Crisco's canola or olive oil in the spary or pump. I think you could make a batch up in a square pan in order to cut and be able to bag it or put in a container to reheat later on. I love making mine with a variety of ingredents a different way every time...sausage, broccoli, cream cheese, zucchini, bell pepper, cheese, onions, salsa, whatever happens to be in my fridge at the time.

Have fun playing with your food!

quiche's are great. i don't have many problems with the eggs sticking, i just spray with pam. leftovers, pepperoni chips are good. check out linda's recipe site.

ooh....pork rinds are good when you need a crunch. Shake splenda and cinnamon with your pork rinds and it's even another different snack. Just make sure you measure the Splenda as allowed.
