So I go out to lunch with the hubby. (we're on vacay in Florida.) He orders the chef salad. I order the spinach salad. He puts oil and vinegar on the chef salad. I put the warm bacon dressing on the spinach salad. Then see that the salad has carmelized walnuts in it. And the dressing is SWEET! Aargh. My lunch is laden with sugar! So my wonderful hubby offers to switch with me. Not that he needs the extra sugar, but what a nice thing to do. Just thought I'd share. What could have been a rotten meal turned out very nicely. I should have checked the dressing first. Guess old habits die hard.

Works out great! Spinach isn't a "salad" veggie that can be prepared ahead of time, so it's actually less work for them if they don't have to dress and toss it.
