    Generally the less you have to lose it is a bit slower than someone who has lots to lose, but that's only in the beginning. I think everyone's loss tapers after a while.

      4lbs in 5 days is alot, thats almost a pound a day, thats all i have to say

        Whoah, there. Here are some hard and fast rules:

        1. Don't weigh yourself every day unless you are prepared for ups and downs.

        2. Don't weigh yourself every day unless you aren't counting the pounds at all (some of us just are interested, but don't put much credence into the numbers on the scale)

        3. DO focus on your measurements. Measure every other week: neck, chest, upper arm, wrist, waist, hips, upper thigh, ankle. Inches come off must faster than pounds, and they reflect how you LOOK far better than the scale does.

        4. DO be patient. Yes, we all want to lose weight fast. But this isn't a diet - it's a way of eating. This isn't a "get slim quick" scheme - it's a method for restoring your body to health.

          Just wanted to add that although I am not allergic to eggs, I don't like them very much and therefore rarely eat them. You definitely don't have to eat eggs to do Atkins effectively.

          Try to break out of your box a little bit about breakfast... it doesn't have to be "traditional" breakfast foods.

          Stay close to the board and ask any question you may have... there are a lot of great people here and a wealth of information. Best Wishes!

            You can eat vegetables for breakfast. green beans with butter and a little sausage mixed inis nice.
