  • Can induction cause muscle pain???

I am on day 3 of induction, in ketosis (stinky breath)...

My head is pounding, which I know is normal, but also my back and shoulders ACHE so BAD!!!! I feel like I was run over by a truck. I am supposing that "flu" means "flu" means muscle aches, right? I hope so, otherwise I need to see a doctor!!!

    Oh, yes.

I've never had induction flu (thank you, God!) but lots of people around here have. They've had any of the following symptoms: body aches, muscle aches, headaches, hot flashes, feeling feverish, nigh unbearable sleepiness or exhaustion, inability to sleep.

However, you're on day 3. Should be done in 24-36 hours! Then you'll wake up and feel full of energy and well-being. It's the BEST!
    Start date: 7/29/2007

    205 - met 10/17/07

    I survived a two-month stall!

You should take your vitamins and suplements, also be sure you are making right the distribution of carbs. Drink a lot of water, that's normal and it will pass soon TAKE CARE

Oh yeah...induction flue it is! I had it too and since I started with Atkins on a SundayI had it in the middle of the week. I actually left work early one day, because I was just feeling so aweful and exhausted. I crawled to bed and slept it through. The next day I felt better and on day 5 I felt like "Super Woman". Totally energetic.

Yeah, I'd have to say it's induction flu.

However, muscle pain in the calves and feet in the form of cramps usually indicates dehydration. So, make sure that you are drinking that water!!

If i told you I had a magic weight loss potion...you'd probably be all over me trying to get it .... right??? Well, I do....and it's pretty much free. Water. Pure water. Lots of it. LOL

Thanks! I am drinking my water right now. Funny thing, when I do Atkins, I have NO problem drinking water. It just comes naturally for some reason. With any other "diet," I just dont want to drink it.

Also, interestingly, this evening I got a second wind of energy and I was going pretty good and feeling fine - other than a nagging pounding headache and a sore back. It was a wierd combination. Maybe I will wake up tomorrow feeling fabulous!

I have not started exercising yet. One week of induction, and then I will hit the Walk Away The Pounds DVD, just for starters.

When I got TOM the first time since starting this WOE my back KILLED me beforehand. Any chance this could be it? And, if it is, you can more than likely look forward to a nice weight loss soon! (a silver lining in your "cloud")

Re: Can induction cause muscle pain???

I've been back on the wagon for almost 3 months and sometimes I still get that back and shoulder pain. Are you taking your vitamins? Luckily I work at a massage company and can get attention anytime I whine about the back pain but I think it is important to be sure you are getting your water in.
