  • Week #1 A Success !

    Hello everyone !
I'm so tickled ! I started induction on July 31st. I weighed yesterday and had lost 12 pounds ! Now on to week 2 of induction. A little about myself. I am a 58 year old wife and mother of two and grandmother of two. I work swing shift at an assisted living and believe me I do a lot of walking ! I know I need to do some other sort of excercise but after working an 8 hour shift my feet are killing me and I am just plain exhausted ! I have post tibial tendonitis in both feet ! I have lost weight on Protein power and unfortunately I quit and gained half of it back. I have tried to go back to it but at 30 carbs a day I was at a stand still for weeks. I decided to try Atkins by starting with induction and am so glad I did. I know the weight loss will slow down quite a bit but I got a good start anyway. I was beginning to think that I had shot my wad at low carbing after starting and stopping half a dozen times. The 1st week on induction showed me that this was not the case and I am so relieved. Not sure if I'll ever get be able to go above 30 carbs a day though. Anyway glad to be and meet all of you on the board!

      Hi
      Welcome to our ADBB family
It looks as if you are off to a good start
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!

Check out our Low Carb Recipes website and add to it!!
