I am 5'7 160 17 how much can I expect to lose by october on this diet if I am excercising a hour a day with it?

Is a hour a day to little or to much?

Can you eat as much allowed food as you want as long as you dont go overboard with it?

I take it since your eating alot of protein with this diet you tend to build muscle well on it?

Can you put shake in back on your chicken?

According to the BMI charts, you have a BMI of 25.1 which is teeny bit over the "normal" range of 18.5 to 24.9.

But to answer your question, during the first 14 days of Induction, we all can expect to lose between 5-10% of the weight we need to lose. So a person with a 100 pound weight loss goal can expect to lose 5-10 pounds and a person with a 10 pound weight loss goal can expect to lose 1/2 to 1 pound during the first 14 days.

Exercise: the current exercise recommendations are 60-90 minutes most days of the week to lose weight. 30-60 minutes most days of the week to maintain weight/general health.

How much food you can eat....You cannot gorge yourself on any food during Atkins. We eat to satisfy our hunger of that moment and that's it. So if it takes 2 chicken legs and 1 cup of artichoke hearts to satisfy it, that's all you eat for that meal. Likewise, if your hunger is satisfied with 1 hard boiled egg and 1/2 cup of celery sticks, that's all you eat for that meal.

How much protein....Atkins is a high FAT diet, not a high protein one. Dr. Atkins wrote our bodies convert excess dietary protein to sugar. What isn't used for immediate energy needs will be stored as body fat. The "high" protein thing is because the recommended daily protein intake comprises no more than 15-20 % of your daily caloric intake. On Atkins that percentage is about 30%.

Read the ingredients to Shake and Bake. If it contains ingredients that are not on the Induction Acceptable Foods list, then you cannot have it during Induction Phase.
