    Hey Disneydiva,

I am only in my second week of induction but this is what works for me. I make sure that I drink my 64 ounces of water everyday. If three meals a day aren't working for you, have you tried eating five to six mini meals? As for the headache, I had a headache for the first four days of induction. I guess it was the caffeine and sugar withdrawal. I hope that helps. Hang in there and keep trying.

Yes you are suffering from what is called "induction flu".

Once you get past the first 3-5 days you will feel much better.

Just hang in there, we all go through it, some worse than others.

      Its your body detoxing.

As far as not feeling full unless you eat bread...hmmm...well, from my experience this way of eating surpresses hunger. Just try and get through the first week and I'm certain after that you will find it much easier to maintain this way of life.

        Hey Disneydiva,

My husband is serving in the Middle East. He's been deployed since March. I feel your pain. Keep your head up and keep sending letters and boxes.

as studel pointed out this is induction flu hitting you. each time you go off and then back on you're going to get this. the way to deal with it is stay on track and after a few days, the headaches will go away.

as for the hunger: eat. if you're eating from your induction list of food you should not be getting hungry. fats help to satisfy too. as suggested, make sure you are drinking no less that 64 ounces of water.
if you are eating as planned out on the induction list of food, i think you'll be feeling full, even without the bread.

              Re: i need help

I found that expecially during induction, I had to up my fat intake A LOT to feel satisfied without carbs (for you bread, for me, pasta). I dipped pretty much everything in mayo or whipped cream depending on what it was. It also seemed to make me lose faster, but that's just me. Best of luck!

Yes - it is listed among the cheeses allowed (Dr Atkins knew tofu as the old name for it 'soy cheese') so you can have 3-4 ounces of it a day if you have no other cheeses.
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?

                      Disneydiva,

Did you join the family readiness group? They have meetings and help support each other through the deployments. Other than that, I get active with my boys and I have several hobbies. As you said, you survive it! It is not easy by any means! Even after all these years. If I can be of help to you during this deployment, just type away.

By the way, how is your induction going? Over the induction flu yet? Did buy the Atkins New Diet Revolution book? I have the 2002 copy. It really helps to keep me on track.
