  • Confused pls help?

Hey there everyone this is my first day on induction and Im a little bit confused on a few things.. First I am addicted to hot sauce lol but Im wondering if its legal? it has 0 on just about everything on the nutrional label but it does have some sodium.. is that acceptable for induction? Also I went on Fitday and entered some of the things that I would be eating today and when I put in Garlic Powder (Im using that on my chicken leg among lots of other seasonings) it came up as 6 grams of Carbs?? is that right?

I do add lots of seasoning to my meats such as garlic powder, onion powder, pepper, adobo, and sazon so now Im wondering if all the meat that I seasoned to have ready for cooking is a no no for induction?? could anyone PLEASE help?

hot sauce is generally fine, just read the labels checking for sugar, the one you stated seems fine...
garlic has carbs as do most herbs and seasoning so yep, that would be about right!

what youve seasoned with sounds fine but make sure you pop it in to fitday and dont go above your 20 carbs!

I've found that I have to customize a lot of the foods that I put into fitday directly from the labels, as well.

        Thanks for your replies

OMG does that mean that I could go over my carbs and sabotaged my first day on just the seasonings I added to my meat?

I think you have to put the seasoning in perspective to the meal you eat. Say you use all the seasonings you mentioned--but you sprinkle them all over 2 pounds of meat. You'd have to take into account the fact that you aren't going to eat all two pounds of meat and so you won't be eating all of the seasoning you've used.

          Make sense?

However if you are only cooking for yourself and will be consuming the entire amount you cook in one serving, then fitday would probably help you to keep it all under your carb limit.

I normally cook for my whole family so I don't put seasonings into the equation because they end up being practially nothing when all is said and done.

Thanks Meena-Beena that does make sense, I did season a whole lot of chicken last night much more than my family would even eat in 3 or 4 days
