    Re: New Starter

Thanks again for that... like the sound of tuna and mayo in a lettuce leaf

Going away for the weekend to the in-laws which will be hard, is red wine ok to drink? I have heard conflicting reports, going to stay away from lager/beer for the time being anyway. I know spirits are ok but Im not a big spirit drinker anyway.... Its sunday Im not looking forward too (normally I really look forward to it!)... mash potato and meat etc (typical UK sunday lunch)

Will swimming be helping the atkins or hindering? I always thought that if you were burning carbs (and not taking much in) it would speed it up or am i wrong?

Can you come to my house then Donna and prepare it lol.... I wish ... Australia is a tad far away for visits

Thanks again all for your replys, really nice to have people to talk too.

    Cheers

    Terry

I wouldn't drink any wine. Your body will start burning off the alcohol instead of fat. Also, I don't know about you, but red wine always gives me the munchies. Also, do not drink any spirits. I remember one time in college I had gained a little weight so I decided to go on induction to lose it. I did induction by the book except I still went out partying. I only drank vodka (no carbs), but I think I only lost like 2 pounds. Then, I restarted and gave up drinking completely. I lost like 10 pounds.

I realize a lot people can't visit certain family members without cocktail in hand (have first hand experience), but I think you should just power through.

And what the heck do you think is wrong with swimming? It's an excellent exercise!
