  • This is my 2nd day...

    Hi there!

Just writing in to say hello and to get some advice on my induction. I didn't realize american cheese wasn't on the list, but it's Boar's Head and I only had 2 slices, one today and one yesterday. So, I went out and got cream cheese, but have no idea what to do with it.

Where do you get those little keto sticks? When is the best time to check to see if you are in ketosis? I hope it's normal to be tired... that's how I've been feelin today.

Also, I'm drinking only one cup of green tea a day. It's not decaffinated, but it's either this or coffee. Anyone else drink tea and not have a problem with it?

Thanks for any advice and help!

I've been eating a little cream cheese mashed up with herbs and spread on celery, but then again I LOVE celery as a snack and used to eat it before I started induction anyway.

If it is plain hard cheese like cheddar and without 'illegal' additives then your American cheese is fine as far as I have heard - it is the 'cheese spreads' or 'processed cheese food' that is not allowed. As to how to use cream cheese - there are many uses, one is to make what Dr Atkins called 'revolution rolls' which you can use instead of bread!

from as pharmacy/chemist/drugstore - some US supermarkets sell them too. I dont use them as I never managed to get any sort of coloour change even when I was losing fast.

Many people find they are tired when they start but before too long they feel much better. On these forums it is often referred to as 'induction flu'. do a search for posts about that and you should get some reassurance
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!
