  • Doing a completely clean induction starting tomorrow...

Okay - so the last 13 days have been sprinkled with unintentional and intentional illegal foods. Shelled sunflower seeds (better than smoking in the car but ..illegal - DARN)

My ketosis has been dark for 80% of the time and while I have lost a little bit of weight I don't feel "right" about not doing the induction the proper way.

I am mad/sad and cranky that I can't have more than 3 servings of splenda daily and I almost threw in the towel when I saw that.
Well, I "can" but because I'm serious about this - I'm mad that if I do have more than 3 I will just get in my own way.

I AM mad that my wonderful sugar addicted brain is working overtime to justify ANY sugar/sweets in my system. I'm mad as heck because I thought giving up white sugar and caffeine was enough.

I have done Atkins before (for a little while)and I know it works. I have read many of you stating that once you get used to it that it's easy and it is part of your lives.

So, starting tomorrow I'll drink only water, no splenda and no sunflower seeds.

It's only the carb monsters making you mad at what you have to give up. Tell them to shut up and get out of your life--just GO! Think instead of what you will gain for your efforts. I can avow to the fact that doing induction cleanly, followed by clean no-cheat OWL, will result in you not missing that stuff one bit and you will learn to love your new WOE. If, in fact, you try to eat that stuff again, it will not even taste good to you.

Congrats on starting over and doing a clean induction. You've already done splendidly.

        Clean induction day #1.

        2 fried eggs in butter
        1 slice of ham
I'm still glaring at the @#%!$@^@$ 32 oz of PLAIN water in my little jug.

        This is harder than cigarettes!

Are you guys SURE I can't put 1 tea bag....decaf tea....herbal tea....in my water? Just thinking about drinking it makes me ill.
And no, I don't know why it's different to me.... a fluid should be a fluid should be a fluid, right?

Carb monster whispers "you don't even know what a portion is and you can't stand plain water, so why bother...quit now"

I'm gonna flick a booger at the carb monster and tell him thanks for sharing now shut the up.

        GRRRRRRRRRRR
This is hard but I'm more determined than ever.

        Attitude is everything eh?

I'll repost later tonight - thank you for supporting me.

PS but the southern girl inside me loves those eggs fried up in real butter lol
so I shouldn't complain much - or at all.

i feel your pain, because I know it is tough to start to change a way of life.
I myself , for decades loved nothing better than eating so many carbs , i litteraly had to lay down because I could pass out after eating a pound of pasta or a whole large pizza.

I wish you strength in this time. Its hard. I hate detoxing too.

But after a week on clean induction, the hunger goes away, the pain lessens, it does get easier, and I know that sounds nuts.

I hope I force myself to exercise today cause that always makes everything in my whole life easier.

We just need to get the momentum going.

I'm glad I'm not alone in this....

Laying down after a pizza....I remember those days!

Thanks for the support - you have mine as well.

Lunch - Shrimp fried in butter and 1 cup mixed veggies. Peppers and mini beans - whatever that is.

My hubby says I'm more grumpier and snappier now than I was when I quit ciggies. I was happy when I started this and now I'm grumpy and hissy.

This is really affecting me more than I thought. I'm glad I don't have to go to work til Thursday. I'd probably snap if the stapler didn't work right.
