  • Not fighting the temptation as much as the habbit.

When I do the atkins diet my cravings seem to get under controll within a day or two of starting. I don notice however that breaking the habbit of constantly eating is very hard . That's all I did. Have any of you delt with the issue of breaking the eating habbit? Did you find a way to beat it? If so how?
    Thanks!

OOoh yes. I would try to keep busy, exercise, write, play the piano... anything to keep my mind off of it. The longer I held off the easier it became. Eventually I got a hold of it. Don't get me wrong, I still have my days where I just can't get enough. But they're far and in-between now...
But if you're hungry then eat. Or try eating smaller meals through out the day. If you HAVE to eat just try to make it legal... protien/fat work well.
    Good luck!

Yes. I used to pick at things or have snacks and consider them meals. It was bad.
What I do now is always have a glass/bottle of water and drink water all day long. It keeps me from wanting to eat out of boredome or habit. And of course I make sure I eat my three and snack on a little bit of cheese or some other atkins friendly snack.
