Yeah, You need a lot more veggies

Kelsey, I'm still new here and trying to learn the ropes too, but you are allowed 20 grams of carbs a day. It looks like the only carbs you've so far came from the celery and possibly the beef jerky. It looks to me like you should have enough for salad and dressing.

Somebody correct me if I'm wrong. Like I said I'm still learning the ropes.

                Hello

You don't need to eat a salad with dressing to have veggies. 31 of the 39 net carbs I ate today were from veggies, and I rarely ever eat salad... it's been weeks. The best advice that I can give to someone who is serious about doing Atkins for life is to break out of your box and try new veggies with an open mind. Within any of the 4 phases of Atkins, more than half of your net carbs should come from veggies. Before Atkins, I wouldn't touch veggies with a 10 foot pole. Now, it is what I eat mostly. Embracing them rather than fighting them has changed my life.

                Best wishes

Oh Mitzi!!! I agree about loving lots of veggies!! My advice to the original poster is to incorporate veggies where you can as a start. Stir fry your protein in some olive oil with a few peppers or broccoli or mushrooms. Find veggies you like and mix them in a scrambled egg. If you are serious about this WOL, it is important to avoid boredom with your eating. And veggies will fill you up, as well. Personally, I enjoy salad veggies with a little lemon but I only have an actually salad every few days.
