  • whats the Usual?

    what is the USUAL lost during the 1st week of Induction? i know Weight Loss Is Not Linear and all... but how much did YOU lose the 1st Week??? especially those of you on Medications, or HRT...

    i weighed after the 14 days and lost 14 pounds in total, but i had a lot to lose so thats why it was quite high...

    5-10% of the amount you want to lose in total is the amount you should lose during induction.

      so if im trying to lose 62 lbs... i should lose between 3.1 and 6.2 lbs during the whole entire 1st 2 weeks? i think i can do that! i lost 2.5 this 1st week... i was just wondering if i was going too slow... i AM on Meds and HRT, so it will probably be slow, but I WILL DO THIS! Thanks Emma!

        yep thats about right, though many surpass those percentages, you cant make yourself lose any faster, if youre following the plan and exercising just go with the flow!

          Different people will lose at different times. Some people don't lose anything at all during induction. We used to have a mod on here that lost nothing during induction, but eventually made it to goal.

          There really isnt any rhyme or reason to it all tbh.

          I have since re-gained a bit of weight, but that is soon to be coming off again!

            Thanks Guys!!! i feel much better now! and believe me... i AM going to do this...! i feel so much better already! you guys must feel GREAT because you both look MARVELOUS!!! Congrats on your losses!

              I Lost 8.7 the first week....and I'm at 12 now...on my 12th day....it's def slowed down a little bit the second week....but still happy!!! =) You just have to be thankful for going down and not up...hehe....and yes you can do it! Good Luck

                I lost 17 lbs the first 2 weeks but I had a LOT of weight to lose too.
                I agree with the others. Just follow the plan and it'll come off. It really doesn't matter how much you lose during induction... it will all come off eventually!!
                LOL of course seeing the big losses is very exciting and motivating!!

                Was, Am, Will be: 280/222/175ish.
                Started Dec 2005 and lost 105 lbs by mid 2006, maintained loss for the most part until 2009...then really let go & gained some back... lol

                so:
                Restart Progress:
                12/28/09 ~ 235.1
                01/04/10 ~ 229.0
                01/11/10 ~ 229.0 Grrrrr....
                (Induction= only 6lbs but lost 10 inches! yay)
                01/18/10 ~ 227.4
                01/5/10 ~ 226.8
                02/01/10 ~ 222.6

                  The first time around it was 12lbs w/ exercise, the second it was 10lbs w/ not so much exercise.

                    thanks for the info! Emma and Adreliluc... you 2 were just a tad heavier than i am right now... WHAT DO WE DO WITH THE LOOSE SKIN??? i dream of it snapping right back! but i know thats not gonna happen... what do you 2 do to help with that? (im not really leaving you out RICHT - i just saw the girls and went right into 'girl mode'... LOL... what did YOU do for yours?)

                      Well if you go into the womens forum under 'lower ab pouch' (or something like that) you'll see what I did with mine... LOL.
