Just wonder which day was worst for those of you who have induction. When I was on it before, my pay off was occassionally (every 10 days past the first 14 days) going to an all you can eat buffet with a huge dessert bar. This time, that is definitely not the route I want to take. What do u do when u feel like you have to have the one piece of chocolate or that one cream cheese danish?

Re: Which Induction Day was the worst and how did you get past it?
Hmmm... yesterday... today...
Redoing induction for a couple days after weekend cheat... it's been very hard. I forgot how restrictive it is! Well, There is always Dom's Cheesecake... That's pretty yummy and sweet and rich and feels really decadent!
For that one piece of chocolate... just walk away... tell yourself it just isn't worth it and try to remember why you're doing this in the first place... this WOE just doesn't allow for cheats like that as they can totally throw you out of ketosis... sad, but true... until this weekend I hadn't had sugar in 4 1/2 months... it made me sick! like with a virus, sore throat, cough... weakened my immune system I guess... anyways, good luck. hope this is helpful!
hang in there and you can do it!

Re: Which Induction Day was the worst and how did you get past it?
I've been on Atkins for 3 months and think about ice cream and cake every single day. I cheated once about 6 weeks ago. The best tasting cake I've ever had
Anyway, I just get use to thinking about it and not having it.
L-Glutamine seems to help a bit also. For those that it works on it takes an almost immediate effect. I made some chicken soup the other day and I don't know if it was the hot liquid or what but it really seemed to help my cravings. Also fat seems to help. I'll eat a half an advocado or a piece of cheese. I just recently started eating canned pumpkin with cinnamon and a little bit of stevia.
Hope this helps,

What do I do when I just must have that piece of chocolate or the cheese danish?
If it's the chocolate, I have it. I make a chocolate/almond bark out of coconut oil, cocoa powder, splenda, and almond flavoring. a one-inch piece satisfies.
I don't crave pastries, really, but if I do, I will make a custard or a flan, or just whip some cream with cocoa powder and splenda. - just a dollop is plenty.
I usually have sugar-free jello mixed with cream cheese in the fridge, and a tablespoon of that is more than enough.

Re: Which Induction Day was the worst and how did you get past it?
For me it was probably Day 3. Day 1 and 2 was more me thinking (as I sat down to eat a steak) "This is diet food?" On day 3 the cravings were pretty bad and I started feeling a bit of induction flu. Think I dropped into ketosis soon after that because the cravings went away pretty quick.Originally posted by tulsanurse1Just wonder which day was worst for those of you who have induction.
As far as what I do when a craving hits. Eat something high in fat and drink a lot of water. Works for me every time.Grant

Re: Which Induction Day was the worst and how did you get past it?
Today was my first day on Induction. However this is my second time doing Induction. I dont remember the sweet craving coming on so fast. I couldnt get it out of my head. I ended up making sugar free jello/cream cheese, ate it and then felt guilty. My carb level was at 21grams today but tomorrow is another day and Im sure it will be easier.MiniGoal 1-240
