IF the 1st 2 weeks its Water Weight coming off... why do some of us NOT lose too much weight during Induction? even tho we are Totally Comitted, Not Cheating, and Drinking All Our Water...? i know with ME its probably my Meds (HRT and SINGULAR for allergies) but what are some other reasons this might happen...

    Re: Why?

everyone has a different response to induction. for myself, i am addicted to carbs, and induction for me was a detox. i feel better not eating carbs. for me now its a way of life not just a two week diet.
I encourage you to stick with it, inform your doctor of your eating behavior and make sure that your diet is reflecting your doctors plan for you.
I wish you the best of luck.

It's not the first 2 weeks...it's the first 4 to 5 days that is primarily water weight. Here's what Dr. Atkins wrote in the book:

On any weight loss program, the first weight lost is water weight. Atkins is a particularly effective diuretic, so the water weight tends to come off fast on my program. But be assured that after four to five days, the pounds that come off are primarily fat.
