Can you find bacon with no sugar?

I live in Tulsa, Ok where the big grocery stores are Walmart and Reasors. I would love some bacon on Induction but I cant find any with no sugar. Do they even make it? Do you eat bacon that has sugar in it?

I get my bacon at Super Walmart (I save about 100 bucks a week shopping there). If I have it in my budget Oscar Myers has a Natural brand that has no sugar or nitrates, but its close to 6 bucks a pack. If I do not I buy a generic brand in a yellow and red package (can not remember the name right now) that just has no sugar. The generic kind is really good bacon which amazes me and is only around 2:19 a pack.

I buy bacon with no sugar from the Walmart in my area. The brand is Gwaltney... the package is red. It is about $3.00 here.

I can only find no nitrate but I found a bunch of fairly local farms yesterday that ship no-sugar locally. I would start googling for it, you may need to call them though since most don't publish their dry rub recipes.

Im gonna go to walmart today and see if I can find some. If not able to get it there, I guess Ill have to "online" purchase it cuz Im really wanting some.

I am with you on that. Bacon is so perfect for induction, yummy, high fat and still has protein. I love it wrapped around scallops!

Yummy bacon and scallops? I would be in heaven. Do you just cook the scallops in butter?

Yep, they are so good that they don't need anything else. it is a super yummy and indugent breakfast

Actually, you wrap the scallops in the bacon and cook them together so you don't actually need the butter but the butter adds something I think.

Just because a label says 0 carbs, does not mean that there is no sugar in it. It is just as important to read the ingredients. Sometimes there is sugar in the ingredients and the label will still say 0 carbs.

Ok thats my question. If a product says "0 carbs" but there is sugar in the 5th or 6th ingredient, do you eat it, do you not, I dont know what the answer should be. Im thinking that if there is sugar anywhere in the list, its a no-no. Whats the right answer?

I would look for the brand with sugar listed as far down as possible and still count it as 1 carb. Fitday shows bacon as having .142 carb but I'm not sure I trust it. That said, with lunch meat I noticed the other day that it started to taste sweet and another brand didn't so I am guessing one brand had more sugar than the other.

At Wal Mart Gwaltney brand "thick sliced" bacon claims "No Sugar Added" on the label. It comes in a silver box. There is no sugar listed in the ingredients, either.
