Is the carb count here 18 gr or 11 gr?

  • Is the carb count here 18 gr or 11 gr?

    Ok Im confused. Im using Fit day and trying to figure out what my real carb count is. Are the grams of fiber already deducted from the carb count, or do I subtract the fiber grams myself from the carb grams or has it already been done in Fitday.

    Thats 11 net carbs.

      Look at the top on fitday, where it has the little table that tells you the total amount of everything you've eaten so far today. Right under the carbs amount is the fiber amount. Subtract the fiber amount from the carb.

      On the LIST of items you've eaten, the fiber amount won't show. But if you pull up the individual items (double-click), it will. But it is NEVER subtracted from the carbs - you have to do that yourself.

        Wow, 11 carbs is not enough, or is it? My menu looks like this:
        Should I try and get this post moved over to the menu check forum? Sorry

        Chicken breast w/o skin/boneless
        2 oz. Mushrooms
        2 tbsp Butter
        1 boiled egg

        Snack
        1 oz sliced red peppers
        1 oz Pork Rinds
        14 Pepperoni slices

        Lunch
        1 Turkey leg
        1 C. Cauliflower Bisque

        Dinner
        1 Turkey Leg
        2 C. Spinach Raw
        2 tbsp Blue Cheese Dressing
        1 Egg Boiled

        Snack
        1 oz Red Pepper
        1 Boiled Egg
        1 oz Pork Skins

            Im trying to stay as close to 20 carbs as I can so that when I get to OWL, my weight loss has been based on 20 carbs. Does moving from 11 to 19 to 14 carbs mess up the that formula? Im sorry but Im just trying to understand this.

              nope not at all.... most people only hit 10-15 carbs during induction, its really not a big deal, its not the lower/higher the better, just follow the plan, you're doing that, perfectly i might add!

                Thank you you guys for being here. Sometimes Im frustrated, trying to move things around and planning all these meals. One thing I keep in mind is that when I get enough menus, if I choose to do Induction longer, all I have to do is look in my "skinny notebook", and grab a menu for that day. Im learning alot, but I swear there are times when I am so sick of looking at carb, fat, protein percentages and counts. I still freak at my calorie count but Ive lost 15 pounds in six days, the first 14 in the first four days (maybe water loss, maybe not). And because Dr. Atkins says anything lost day 4 is true fat loss, that means Ive lost 1 pound of true fat in two days. So I stay focused and keep trying to learn the ins and outs of this way of life. Thanks so much u guys.

                  Don't even THINK about calories right now. My bmi is about 1648, and I tend to lose more when I stay within the 1600 - 1750 range on a daily basis. If I go lower than that, I lose more slowly.
