I don't want to be in induction right now. I want to be in OWL and having fast forwarded through the next week. I am tired of food and cravings and not being able to have an oz of nuts. I am tired of looking at myself in the mirror and it got so bad I almost caved for chocolate. I stood in the mirror measuring my body trying to remind myself of the reasons to not walk two blocks and ingest 28g of carbs. I made it through the craving but I feel impatient and bored with induction. I don't know how people can do this for months! I think if I extended this I would just end up off plan hiding behind some store bingeing. I feel much better knowing I can come here. Times like this, I realize just how important support is. So I am making cabbage soup and reading all the success stories and looking at before and afters, but most importantly I am staying ON PLAN.

Re: One of those afternoon's
For me exercise stops any hunger! But everyone is different!
Good job on staying the course, it will get easier and you'll thank yourself as you eat the healthier foods and feel so much better!! Don't forget to get your water in.
Bordom? There are lots of things that you can have on induction. Have you looked at the menu and recipe boards?
ham, turkey or some meat, roll up celery in it and some mayo
Linda Sue's recipes - she states which ones are great for induction, and speaking from experience, her recipes rock!
Deviled eggs, if you are going to have HB eggs, why not just mash up the yolks throw in the mayo mustard or whatever and make deviled eggs. You'll think you are eating luxuriously!
make up batches of tuna or egg salad
Cabbage - watch portions for carbs. I love fried cabbage!
What do you typically eat?

Re: One of those afternoon's
I agree with Tracey, you might be limiting yourself to boring foods if you havent looked for other ideas on these forums.
Perhaos if you list a few days menus others can suggest different ways of adding variety to what you eat and help keep you on track more easily.Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!
Check out our Low Carb Recipes website and add to it!!

Re: One of those afternoon's
And In my opinion, if you are craving...NUTS are definitely NOT the answer to your problems. In fact, they'll only make it WORSE!
Now, I think you move into OWL TODAY. Let's have some more YUMMY vegetables. Why not look at calabaza squash (Spanish Pumpkin)
They are excellent baked and then scoop out the flesh and eat with butter. Kind of sweet tasting and are packed with fiber. http://www.fruitsandveggiesmatter.go...egetables.html
Try out some of the recipes at Linda's Low carb. http://genaw.com/lowcarb/~Joy

QUIT SMOKING JULY 23, 2006 while on Atkins

Just when you think you've eaten enough vegetables...EAT SOME MORE!
