Hello all! I am getting ready to start the induction phase! I have been Atkins before (about 3yrs ago) and lost about 25lbs. Unfortunately, I didn't keep it off! Alot has happened since then, my first baby, some health issues, surgerys, etc. Now, I am so ready to get this weight gone! My problem is, I don't have the money to spend on all the expensive stuff this time around. Any suggestions for when I go grocery shopping as to what to get for the least amount of money? I am so ready for this you guys, and I am sorry to say to all of you I am DESPERATE for support!! ANY suggestions would be wonderful! I am hoping to loose 20lbs (25 lbs would be better!) buy Jan. 1. Wish me luck!!

to save money, have breakfast for dinner.
eggs, sausage, bacon, are always cheaper than steak.
plan plan plan.
After your two week induction, you can add low carb whey protein shakes.
They have like 1 gram of carb per scoop, and you can buy like 5lb can for like $20 on ebay. That is really cheap per serving.
Brown bag every where. Don't dine out and cook your own meals is a great way to save.
Good luck. It will get easier.

Buy frozen veggies. They are cheaper then fresh and stay fresher longer. Stock up on meat when it's on sale. If you don't have a foodsaver I highly recommend one. Lettuce and cheese with stay fresh 3 or 4 times longer if it's foodsaved.
I figured that the money I use to spend on candy bars, cake, potatos, bread, and dining out, I'm actually saving money now

Better to leave whey products till you are on the dairy rung/level of OWL!!Originally posted by jimmyolsenbluesAfter your two week induction, you can add low carb whey protein shakes.

And if you do use them make sure you are not eating/drinking too much protein in relation to fat and carbs. On Atkins we aim at around 30% of our food intake from protein and unless you add plenty of fat to protein powder you run the risk of protein overloading!Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!
