  • Induction is over

Yesterday was day 14 of Induction and today I am moving to OWL. I think I did a pretty clean induction - no cheats that I know of. I did two things wrong. #1, I didn't do enough exercise - 3 times a week instead of the 6 or 7 I should be doing. I'm trying to improve that. #2, looking back at my food journal there were too many days when I didn't get nearly enough calories. I've got to get better at planning and pre-making my meals to make sure this doesn't continue to happen.

Bottom line - I lost 9 pounds. That's slightly better than 10% of what I need to lose, so I'm happy about that. Last time I did Atkins I stayed on Induction, but this time I'm moving to OWL and I'm going to try to do it by the book.

    Congrats on your loss.

And congrats on summarizing your last two weeks. Knowing what you can improve will help you in the long run.

Look up your weight loss on the Metabolic Resistance to Weight Loss charts in the book. That will help you plan your Atkins.

You'll like OWL because it allows more freedom and you'll be able to tailor the diet to meet your needs better.

Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!

Nine pounds is awsome! Dont beat yourself up about the exersize, 3 to 4 times a week is fine. More is better but 7 is too much. You NEED a day to rest. If you hold yourself to more you may find that you just cant do it you may end up sabotaging yourself. Stick with the 3 to 4 and if you can fit in more great!
