I too get discouraged during a stall. My last stall lasted a month. Then I began losing again like crazy. I upped my veggies is what I did. Are you in owl or induction?

Sorry, the dreaded 'GU' words aren't in our vocabulary. Sounds like you already have an idea what might be causing the stall...just revise and keep going. We're not givng up on you, so hang around, get active and enjoy the friendships and keep learning how to improve and you will succeed.

            ?????

            sugar free jello
I thought this was allowed on Induction. I found a recipe using it; one package mixed with 8 oz. of cream cheese and a few other innocuous ingredients. A tablespoon helps satisfy me cravings for sweets.

Can I or can I not use a little sf jello during induction?

Re: This is where i give up...

Sugar free jello that isn't made with aspartame/nutrasweet is allowed on Atkin because Dr. Atkins discouraged the use of aspartame---caused weight loss problems (no loss or slow loss) in some of his patients.

People get confused because a sample menu in the book lists a "gelatin dessert made with sucralose and topped with whipped cream" and they read that as "sugar free Jello brand gelatin".

Hmmm, that's exactly what I bought...no brand name was specified in the menu I found online. What brand name should I buy and where do you get it? They only have Jello brand where I regularly shop.

Also, is there a list of Brand name products such as this that are allowed on Induction?

Re: This is where i give up...

Hello, boy we are in the same boat so to speak. I have done Atkins before and the exact thing has happend to me I would get to the 180's and NEVER got past those numbers. I have a mini goal now to get to 179 never seen that number on the scale.

Sounds like you have a great plan, use fitday to watch your exact carb intake, lots of water, lots of exercise.

Keep up the great work we can do this.

Awww, I so know that problem but I still have hope that I'll make it...I am very close to breaking the 80 kg limit...I'd love to see a 7 as the first number, not the 8 but every time I'm close...like 100 g away, I start gaining again...then I come close, think I'll get there in the next days and *BOOM*, I gain again.
I really hope to break this vicious circle soon coz im sick and tired of that 8 :P
Date to reach goal: I don't care, as long as it happens :P

Re: This is where i give up...

I've heard that if you stayed at a certain weight for a while, your body is use to that weight and it's extra hard to get past that weight. I'm at 200 right now. This is the weight I was at a few years ago when I fell off and started gaining so now it seems like it's extra hard to get down past 200. I don't know if that's your problem but just a thought.

Re: This is where i give up...

Just stick with it, and eliminate those foods you've mentioned from your diet. Technically a stall is 4 weeks without POUNDS or INCHES lost. Sometimes we build muscle (meaning we tone our bodies and lose inches) but that shows no loss (or even a slight gain!) on the scale.

There is also such a thing as a set point. Your body has a point that it's comfortable being at...if you give up, you'll never get past that point, but stick with it, and you should see results. Also, don't weigh yourself everyday! Each day our weight fluctuates based on hydration, exercise, food consumed, and if we've gone "potty" lately. Weigh once a week, or at least, only record your weight on one day each week.

Can you post a menu so that we can see what you are eating? I saw one on another thread from you and not sure you are getting enough in...that will also stall you.

                            Are you exercising?

How about inches? Are you losing inches?
