  • Help Please :)

    Ok Guys,
I am a very picky eater and im not sure how to make out my two week dinner menu. I know that i need to make out a menu or its very difficult for me to commit to something. I also have to have a couple snacks throughout the day. I am not a big hamburger person, i like steak, chicken, ham, and turkey. I am on a tight budget so i cant spend a lot of cash. Any ideas?

    Thanks,
    Amanda

What's the weather like? Are you getting sun or more clouds? The reason why I'm asking is because the less I see of the sun and the colder it gets, the more soup I seem to be making. There's lots you can do with chicken/beef/veggie low sodium stock with your favorite meats and veggies.....

My favorite soup right now is:

Onions, celery, zucchini, bell pepper, mushrooms, you name it, whatever you got handy and on the list of Induction, chop the stuff up and saute' them in butter. Remove from the stock pan....add the ground beef to the pan and cook that up. I use lean ground beef because of the taste, your call, and I don't have much fat to drain off...it's like buying a nice piece of steak for me: I buy the leanest ground beef and enjoy the beef. Then I add a can or two, even a box carton of low sodium chicken or beef stock, 1 can of diced chili/tomatoes. Toss back in the veggies and simmer. Oh, this time around I put in fresh green beans after the stock and had a nice crunchy taste to the soup....

I'm now working on finding a LC recipe for clam chowder....yeah baby!

      Have fun!

Well Apple thanks for the tip! So if i make a soup with a chicken stalk and add veggies that are allowed on induction then i can have it? And also how will i know how many carbs are in a serving and how much is a serving? I know a lot of ?'s. Also, I am 21 and my mother and i were talking and she told me that the younger you are the easier it is for you to lose weight, you metabolism is faster i guess. Whats your opinion on that since you yourself are a young person like myself.

Buy a whole chicken and boil it. Take the chicken out of the stock when done and use the meat from it to make a few meals, and use the stock to make a nice soup. There are lots of things you can eat without breaking the bank, but it is true you will be spending a little more money on food in this WOE. But if you are smart you can buy a roast, or a chicken and get a few days worth of meals by simple planning. Look for sales and specials and take advantage of them. You will find soon enough that you will be eating 1/2 as much as you used to because ketosis is a natural appetite suppressant.
