  • Oh Yeah....

....I also wanted to add that I am a very busy person during the week...always on the run..so I am looking for quick recipes I could do at night, and take with me like to work and what not....

listen, i know this may sound silly....but coudl it just be as easy as ...just eating eggs, and sauage, 3 times a day, and a snack of some sort in between during the 14 day induction ....could it be that simple ?

for instance.....i would eat eggs, and say sauage in the morning...wait two house have my snake whatever it is, and wait two hours to have my next serving of sauage and eggs, then two house later another snack.....eat the eggs, and sauage again in two hours, and then have my snack say wheln I come home from work...(which is late at night), and then go to bed !

is it just that simple ?

Better watch that having of the "snake" in the middle of the day! Just having some fun. If you are able/willing to eat the same things basically every day three times a day, it would work, provided you are bringing some green vegetables which are on the acceptable foods list into the diet...

          Re: Oh Yeah....

You should really keep processed meats in check, i.e. sausage/bacon. While we can have them, they really shouldn't be a daily thing. Whole, natural, unprocessed stuff is best for ya.

We're all crazy busy these days, but there are a lot of things you can do to ensure your success and plan ahead for the week. It takes time. It takes effort, but it's something I have scheduled into my weekends just like I schedule anything else (work/play/appointments). Failing to plan is planning to fail.

I do my grocery shopping on Sundays after breakfast to ensure I have the time I need. Here are things I do to make sure I have no excuses and always have something on hand:

**Throw a beef roast or a turkey breast in the roaster oven and forget about it while I take careof everything else.
**Hard boil 12-18 eggs. (use them for deviled eggs, just straight snacks, egg salad, cut up and added to salads)
**Dice up 3 or 4 chicken breasts and throw it in a pan with some seasonings. Again- great for snacking and makes it easy to throw it in a salad or a quick make soup. I keep half in the fridge and freeze the other half.
**Wash, cut up the veggies, and put them in plastic storage containers. I slice some tomatoes, dice some tomatoes, slice onion, chop onion, slice cucumbers, celery, broccoli, cauliflower and I usually do a jicama too. I'll also tear romaine or iceberg leaves (these I store with a layer of paper towel between them - seems to keep them fresher). All of them go in stackable containers in the fridge. Makes it mega easy to snack on them and add stuff to salads or just grab cleaned/cut/prepped stuff to cook with or steam.
**I'll mix up some french onion dip (Linda's Recipes) for the veggies.
**I'll take family sized packaged of meat and portion it out in freezer bags. I make sure I have individual portions of ground beef, chicken breast, and sometimes pork chops.
**Lately I've been making a big batch of Jambalaya (Linda's Recipes )and freezing that in easy to grab portions.
**I usually fry up a couple of pounds of ground beef too. I make one of them into taco meat and the rest of it I leave plain (then I can make sloppy joes or whatever for the kids). This freezes well too, and again, I do this in portions.

There are a lot of things you can do to make your coming week MUCH easier and remove the excuses for eating stuff you shouldn't be and make sure you're eating the things you should be.

            Re: Oh Yeah....

I agree - mix it up a bit!! Especially the sausage... that can't be healthy to eat that everyday. lol.

During the week I'm always busy busy busy so Sunday nights I make enough Hard boiled eggs for the week (10, I'll have 2 a day for breakfast).
I make a BIG salad with romaine, cherry tomatoes, cucumber, pepppers - or whatever I have handy - this will last for 3-5 days. Then in the morning I just grab a handful or two of salad into a plastic container and toss on a can of albacore or whatever left over meat and viola! I'm done.
Oh sometimes I make a big thing of scrambled eggs with peppers and whatever left over meats I have with some cheese. That will last 1-3 days worth of breakfast too.
Then dinner we just make meat and veggies.
I know it sounds boring but it works really well with my busy schedule!!
