  • My 1st week on Induction, anyone else?

Actually, this is officially going into Day 3 for me. My forum name is kiwigal

I'm a New Yorker. I am female, 6'0", not really feeling or looking Amazonian. I weigh 215 lbs and I want to lose at least 50 pounds. My hubby says I'll look bony if I lose more than that but, we'll see. Anyway, I already know that I'm going to stick with induction for at least my first 30 lbs. I'm exercising with The Biggest Loser Workout DVD. EXCELLENT, I must say. Bob, the trainer WORKS you. He's really good. I have had my share of workouts and this one is top dog. I really recommend it. After I post this, I'm going to do the sculpting portion of the workout. I'm looking for friends who share my ambition for losing weight. I want to be healthy. I have a history of diabetes and hypertension in my family. As well as cancer and heart disease. I don't want to go out like that. I also want to look better in my clothes. I want to redefine what 30 is supposed to look like. (Oops! Gave my age away) I'm here to offer encouragement as well as absorb all the encouragement I can. I also want to be accountable to someone. Any and everyone is welcome!!

Hey girl.. Tammy Lynn here.. aka VetteChic..

I am originally from Niagara Falls, NY but haven't lived there for 18 years. My DH is in the Air Force..so we spent 15 years in Abilene, TX and now we are on our last assignment in Japan at Yokota AB (near Tokyo).

I agree.. having someone to be accountable to is a big help. Although you've got a full foot on me.. (I'm barely 5 foot) you only have me by about 35 pounds! I have about 6o to lose and am starting induction today.. You're 3 days ahead of me but other than that I think it sounds like our weight loss should hopefully go down about the same rate??? I'd love to talk to ya.. be motivational... and have to account to eachother to keep us on track! Lemme know if it sounds kewl to you and I'll shoot ya my email address!
      I CAN ... and I WILL !!

Me, Hubby, and Dominic.. Chelsea is playing photographer!

Hi Chicklady! Great to know we both are at this at the same time and on the same day. I guess you're probaby right about me getting any smaller than my goal. I'm somewhat scale-obsessive. I just can't help it. I check it everyday. I will update my stats every 3 days like I did today. I already lost 5 lbs. I know most of it is water but, I'm fine with that. I was SO mega-bloated! I can't wait to make it through my first week.

That's great Tammy Lynn! I would love to have you as a buddy. I'm going to need all the buddies I can get for the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday. What's it like in Japan?

Re: My 1st week on Induction, anyone else?

I have foregone weighing or measuring this week, because, as the fates would have it, TOM started on day two. On the bright side, I get the headaches, body aches and cramps out of the way all at once. I promised myself not to weigh until day 14. Unfortunately, exercise will have to wait as well.....was stacking wood yesterday and pulled or pinched a nerve in my lower back. OWWWW! I'm a wooz when it comes to pain!!

Have you worked out with that DVD yet? It is INTENSE! Bob is very good. I give it 5-stars! TBL Workout is the most authentic workout I've ever seen. You actually see the people struggling just like you are at home. It's great. As a matter-of-fact, I'm about to do my workout in a few minutes. I'm sore now as it is, not terribly but, enough. Victoria's Secret, here I come! Congrats on the 5 lb loss. We're going to make it!!! The hardest part is getting started so now that we've got that out of the way...consistency is key.

I haven't experienced really bad withdrawal symptoms as of yet. I did have a slight headache today. I was thinking maybe it's because I've been drinking regular coffee since Day 1. Today though, I had decaf so that's why I probably had that slight headache. You'll get thru it. We both will!
