  • Help me create a shop list

    hey,

    I haven't officially started "day 1" yet, but I am eating low carb to start myself off. Anyway I have a grocery list started, but I was hoping those of you with more experience could add something to my list. (a personal favorite, or something handy-on-the go etc) I want to be able to have alot of options readily available, especially when I'm in the mood to snack! Which is inevitable. Here is what I have thus far.

    Multivitamin
    EFA (essential fatty acids)
    500 mg L-Glutamine
    flaxseed meal

    cheddar cheese
    parmesan
    gouda
    cream cheese
    sour cream
    butter
    mayo
    heavy cream
    eggs
    garlic
    ginger
    thyme
    paprika
    dijon mustard? (I've seen this in some recipes is it allowed?)
    chicken broth
    olive oil
    vinegar
    lemon juice

    salmon, basa
    prawns/shrimp
    crab legs?
    chicken thighs
    chicken breast
    steak
    ground beef
    pork (bacon etc)

    lettuce
    cherry tomatos
    red pepper
    asparagus
    brocolli
    cauliflower
    onions
    gr onions
    spinach
    mushrooms
    celery
    parsley
    cucumber
    artichoke hearts
    spaghetti squash

    As long as the foods on your list are also on the Induction Acceptable Foods list, you'll do fine.

    Dijon Mustard and other prepared condiments are tricky---you need to read the ingredients as well as the nutritional info. If it has sugar (AKA dextrose, sucrose, fructose, etc.) listed in the ingredients, you might want to hold off on it.

      i just use the list Sheila has on her site (i am a sahmama to 3 girls, its pretty busy around here so i use shortcuts when i can )
