  • Leg aches?

Hi everyone. It's my fourth day of induction (again, lol) and my legs are killing me! It feels like the growing pains I used to get in my legs as a kid. Has anyone else had this happen? Any recommendations as to what I might be doing wrong, or need to do to make it stop? I'm taking multivitamins, and drinking plenty of water...

    How much water is "plenty"?

Is it cramps or just dull pains? There are usually two reasons why my legs will hurt/cramp. 1--dehydration or 2. Not enough calcium (as opposed to potassium).

sounds like lack of potassium to me, are you taking your supplements?

and eating good veggies? meaning... not just lettuce and cucumber!

yes, i agree with other posts, a lack of potassium. you are flushing the toxins out of your body by drinking water and being on atkins, but you lose some good stuff too.
        Potassium.

So you can load up on Broccoli which has a lot potassium.
Half cup cooked with no added salt contains 2.3 grams protein and 2.3 grams fiber.
        Potassium - 228 mg

By plenty of water, I mean I drink 3+liters of water a day. I guess it would be more of a leg ache vs. a leg cramp. I thought that I have been eating plenty of good veggies, like avacado's and artichokes etc, but I will try eating some broccoli. Thanks for your help guys.

Ps - have you started/changed your exercise? Even new long walks can cause leg aches. Just mentioning it because when I started Atkins, I started exercising again and forgot what was making me sore.
