  • Buy A Crock Pot!

Holy Cow, I am the worst cook ever. I do mean the worst cook, I can't make scrambled eggs that any one else would consider edible.
But I read a lot posts about how you take a crock pot, put a chicken , salt, pepper, some spice (I threw in Cayenne Pepper and tobassco , cause I like thing hot (I guess that covers my bad cooking)), I left the crock pot on low for 7 hours.

Oh my sweet lord , it is the best Chicken ever. I know this post probably belongs in the recipe area, but I struggle on induction at times, I get board at times with the same thing ever day.

Crock pot chicken is easiest , greatest, juiciest thing I ever cooked in my life.

    You have to try it.

I would imagine Boneless ribs would turn out great in a crockpot.?? Just need to find the recipe and then find an "Induction Legal" Sauce for it.

Beef ribs! Those things are so tough otherwise, but in a crockpot, they just fall apart. I just put them in the pot with whatever spices I like (salt, pepper, garlic) and maybe some onions and peppers for some veggie flavor.

Pork roasts--shoulder, butt, loin, whatever. Once again, just the meat and the spices. Pork I like to add ground cumin and ground oregano with some chili powder too for a mexican flavor. Add some peppers and onions as well.

Chicken cacciatore: whole chicken, spices, onions, mushrooms, and a small can of tomato sauce (no more than 1/2 cup) YUM! Oh, you can add some olives to this too.

          Turkey legs/thighs.

Beef roasts too--chuck roasts in particular do really well.

Oh, and the BEST thing about a crock pot is you really don't have to know how to cook. You just throw it all in there and leave it.

I've found not to get too fancy with the ingredients either. Less is more when you are cooking with a crock pot.

And, it's a Fantastic way when you are single to cook a big pot of something and then have it for leftovers the rest of the week. Once again, if you haven't gotten too fancy with the ingredients, you can make different meals withe cooked meat all week long.

I cook all kinds of meats in my crockpot. I put it on for a few hours and come back to a cooked meal.

I use our crock pots often when I am busy. If I am in a hurry I throw in some water some chicken or beef base and some meat (any flavor). Never fails my husband thinks I walk on water... LOL

I have 3 now- I use them for work also- great for keeping soup or chili warm during dinner party's also. Just put them on low and your set for hours. I always use the liners so I have easy clean up as well.

                Peace!

I agree - like Alaskagirl I have three - one giant, one normal and one small one and use them most weeks.

Mmm Corned beef and cabbage. We make our owned corned beef to avoid the nitrates...I do that right in the crock part of the crockpot, stick it in the frig for a few days, then change the water and plop in into the heating base. Yummmy
