    I'm starting today and just wanted to know if I lucked out and have any 1st day buddies

      I started today, hope im doing things right, i dont have the book and getting ideas off the website, if u have great receipes for induction pleae let me know good luck

          out of curiosity does anyone know what the limitations are on salt intake?? I flipped throught the book last night and couldnt find anything, thanks!

            Hey PrettyVIPChick,

            I started 2 days before you on December 1 and this is the end of my 5th day of induction so we are almost at the same place. I continue to be amazed at how great I feel and no negative effects so far. My husband gave me a hug this morning and told me it felt like I was losing weight already AWWWW!!

            We are all in this together and there is a bunch of great information on this board, including some recipes. The induction friendly recipes in the book are just a bit too complex IMHO and I am just staying with the basics. I am starting to cook more stuff at a time so it is ready. I don't know what the limits on salt are but I am not a huge fan of salty food so I rarely add any to what I am eating. I love herbs (rosemary, dill weed, tarragon etc) and tend to cook with those. However, drinking a bunch of water should prevent any retention due to salt intake. I do buy unsalted butter and am eating only fresh veggies so far.

                kinda bummed today my scale was still showing 200 this morning. I'm trying not be be a big baby about this but this is so unlike me not to lose anythingggg

                  well I'm pretty glad I made myself stay on at last through the first week even though I was discouraged when I started off losing slowly. Let's see what the next 8 days bring me

                    WAY TO GO PRETTYVIPCHICK!!

                    8 pounds in one week is GREAT!!

                    I have been very tempted to weigh myself (this is the end of day #9 for me) but am determined to wait until Saturday AM which will be two weeks exactly since I started induction. I can already tell I have lost some since my clothes are looser and even my bras are more comfortable.

                    I wanted to drink a couple of beers today while watching the COWBOYS squeak by the Lions but I totally resisted (it also helped that there was no beer in the house ) and I got over it. This is the first real craving I have experienced.

                    I continue to be amazed at how well this seems to be working. Can't wait to see your results after the next 8 days!!
