If you prescribed an antibiotic you need to take it, induction or no induction. Flagyl is a tablet/capsule rather than a liquid prep (they can be pretty sugary), so it should be fine anyway.

I took it for months on end while losing over 100 pounds. I was even in the hospital getting it by I.V. for nearly a month. All told, I took it for 42 days straight by mouth and three weeks round the clock intravenously. I was taking it along with Cipro, which made me sick on the stomach. And, I agree--if you need it, take it.
Sunny!
People who say it can't be done, should not interrupt those doing it.

Thanks
Sunny i am taking it 3x a day is that still ok or should I stop till in done with the meds??
Taking it 3x a day is fine while doing Atkins. I'd stay with the new eating plan all the while. Especially if you are taking it for an infection of the digestive tract or ulcers caused by H.pylori. If I had started low carb before mine got out of hand, I probably could have avoided the surgery and two years of misery.

I took Flagyl a few months ago. Your mouth will be a little drier and it zaps appetite completely. You can't drink alcohol on it which you can't have any on induction either. I don't know why it would cause any problems for you weight loss wise.
