  • Inductin/Bacon/Sausage Question

My second time around, had success but back again
Could you tell me what kind of bacon to buy? Doesn't it have sugar?
How about sausage, any particular kind or brand?
Want to go to store but must know about oils and like cream for coffee decaf of course
I am finding great nuggets, where are more nuggets on going shopping for Induction.
    Blessings,

    Re: Inductin/Bacon/Sausage Question

You need to read read read lables!!!!! Every area has different brands and you have to research your foods. I have been able to find both bacon and sausage that are legal but they are both produced locally ......... not a major brand. AS far as shopping tips for induction bring your book or a copy of the acceptable food lists and don't look for anything not on that list. I personally think the very first place we trip up is looking for ways to make foods we really are not suposed to have turn out legal ......... for me it just never works because when I have those things it triggers in me a desire for more (especialy treats) I think during your first few weeks of induction simplicity is the key ......... fewer choices render fewer chances to make a mistake! Stick to the basics get yourself into a good pattern of eating and ketosis and then start adding variety!

As far as oils and cream for your coffe just make sure you again read the lables and buy full fat versions not low fat or anythign like that ......... Happy Shopping!

We can have 3 cups of veggies <saad list or other veggies> a day BUT pick and choose but make sure your net carb is 11-15 a day of veggies. Sour cream but imit it as it can stall. Be careful of how many carbs are in your veggies as you wat tobe able to eat throughout the day.

          EDIT:
If you send me your email address to miryag1@fuse.net I'll send you the list you want.

            Re: Inductin/Bacon/Sausage Question

I would read every label. Check for all kinds of hidden sugar, anything that ends in -ose, like dextrose, nothing with Fructose syrup . I buy a tube of fresh raw sausage like jimmy deen, or oscar myer bacon that says 100% pork of the ingredients.
Good luck, figure that every fast food place uses some kind of filler or sugar in their eggs and meats.
